Ive already looked into this. The problem lies in how we would contact neopets. We could not use the same ip for every single account. Its almost like we would need a proxy server setup on the users computer or something... Then having a proxy would increase times, and would just get too stupid...

So... writing an auto trainer. What sort of strategies should be implemented? Random (with filter) and balanced (all stats up to twice level and then level again) are what I have so far.

Can it be made to be manual? I usually build up 10 stats on each at a time, its just out of habit.

You can find the "fastest" algorithm if you search on google. I can't remember it step by step for now. Right now mine is just manual but I haven't fixed it all up. I have a feeling yours will be of superior quality since I was just doing it for the lulz/challenge.

I've added manual as a third option. It'll probably be a bit better, given it's GUI-based, but it's still pretty simplistic. I mostly took it up to see how annoying it'd be to code up a GTK+ app manually (very).

Well, this one only searches one shop at a time, the one you specify on line 12. Simple enough to use the Item DB to generate one...

Waser, nymh: Even easier to not have to go seeking for the relevant information, though. Autocomplete field for the item name and everything else gets done. It was just a thought, though...

I can't remember where I read it but apparently something like that happened a few years ago - shops had a whole bunch of really valuable items rs'd, but no one could buy anything. It was passed off as a "glitch" but a lot of ABers were frozen right after, likely because they kept attempting to purchase things while legit rs'ers would know what was going on.

I don't mean security by obscurity. I can think of numerous ways to secure the shop system in Neopets. I just don't know if the system is insecure through ineptitude or apathy.

The items they release from the attic are actually released with the intention of deflating the economy. They actually prefer if the botters are the ones to do the deflating for them.
