    Coyotes don't generally attack animals close to a house, but a spotlight, firearm, and informing your local game warden probably wont hurt.

    Alternatively you can just take the cat inside.

So I came home last night from Las Vegas and I couldn't get to my house because the police had the whole neighborhood blocked off. Apparently my next door neighbor killed a woman my age. I have the chills.
