Yes, but if you don't report it and you get a bad grade, they may try to blame you. The best thing you can do is still report her, at least so the department is aware that she isn't doing her job and they can counsel you on how to proceed or what efforts you can make to get a passing grade.

With the grades, our chem lab grade is worth 20% of the chem lecture grade and I do well in lab, so that's helping.

Heard a rhythmic pounding on the wall right after the girl in the room across from us brought a guy in. Then it stopped and later started again. And then stopped. And now it's started again. That's some odd sex they're having.

Been busy lately with welcome week at college. It's a lot of fun. Made a group of friends and it's only the second day!

I think the word you're looking for would be "hazing". My college, as it's a branch campus, doesn't have sororities or fraternities, so it sort of helps with any hazing issues. Welcome week here is basically a welcome for the freshman, I just had an ice cream social actually.

@Athayde Jesus Christ. In my state it's not so bad because there are laws against it, but our neighbor state, São Paulo, doesn't. They make people drink mixtures of different stuff, and not just drinks, they put toxic stuff too. There have been some cases in which students threw acid on freshmen, leaving them with third degree burns. There was one case last year where they glued a latex horse head to a guy and made him carry a bunch of people on his back, then made him drink and eat a lot of weird stuff. In the end, he died. And nothing happened to the university or the students.

College book list got sent out. Apparently my Chem class does not need a book. I checked twice, once with the class number (26202) and then once again with the class title (chem 110). Nothing. Not sure if this is an error by Pitt, or if I don't actually need a book.

There are actually a number of courses that say that no textbook is required, so it's not just my chem class.

I've had a few undergraduate courses without textbooks at my university lol. Maybe just wait until class begins. Could be a special circumstance.

I'm having this today too.
We've been having this problem for a while, though... Apparently there's no permanent solution but it helps if you go to your notifications (you can get there thorough your setting), clear them and clear your cookies. It's only a temporarily fixing though, sooner or later it will happen again. :/
