Thanks so much arcanum! <3 The position has a ton of layers of interviews to go through, but so far it has gone well. The employment situation would SO be better if this works out (and if I pass the preliminary 6 months should I get the position)...after 6 months, they either ditch you or hire you on as permanent.

SO...I cancelled my debit card today upon noticing two pings to my bank account from a gas station in Guadalajara, Mexico. No moey was requested to be withdrawn, but two pings within 12 minutes of one another is, ya know, kind of "putting out the feelers" for major mayhem down the road. The online bank support person I communicated with to get the ball rolling was awesome, but to finalize the deal, I had to call the bank's Fraud Detection line. Needless to say, the irony was not lost upon me that the call took 3 times longer than online chat stateside...as the call center was in mexico, and the woman with whom I was talking barely spoke English. :P

Passing through, hoping y'all have good nights...and I'm also laughing to myself about how much I DON'T miss Neo, it would be rather hilarious actually if they just never returned from their downtime.

I would love for the site to be destroyed. I have taken two 2 year hiatuses, but I can't totally give it up right now. Would love it to be destroyed for sure.

Just sent a rambling email to my Ph.D> mentor and a former boss who works with the Ph.D. mentor rambling about my recent loss here...random midnight emails FTW, I guess, at least I feel better having been able to share. Other than that, working on a job application, then bedtime!

Oh. My. GOD!!! The baked potatoes I put in the over about 10 minutes ago are smelling like ambrosia (NOT Abrosia). ;) SLathered the things with olive oil and rolled them in salt, pepper, and thyme before plunking them in to bake.
