@Romy My mom currently doesn't have a computer so I'd like to scoop her one for Christmas. The problem is, if I buy her something and she doesn't like it, I will get stuck with it, so I am trying to spend less than $250. I see all sorts of good Cyber Monday sales for Chromebooks and Laptops but I am on the fence. She won't use it for anything other than web browsing and Netflix.

I wouldn't be able to cope with one for myself but if it's just for browsing then it should be fine. Might be a good idea to let her try one out before committing to buying one though, it might end up that she'd prefer a cheap laptop instead.
