I've updated my Swagbucks/Gambit guide in Member Tutorials. They had removed the old offer for a bit, there is now a new promotion which makes it not only worth doing again, but raises the bar to $2/day.

I think you get three tries per day, so if you know what year you chose, it's /possible/ to just try each date
