Woo! Finally got my blank DVDs in, and installed Free McBoot on my PS2. Now I'm just burning a few games and playing all my old favorites! :D

Got my burned copy of FFX in right now, and IT'S WORKING! :D

Verdict on the mod: The cutscenes in FFX occasionally run a bit choppy, and load times are about 3 seconds longer in most areas than using an original disc, but the game is definitely playable, as are all others I've tested so far EXCEPT Dragon Quest 8. For some reason, that one hangs before starting the game. Disappointing, but nothing I can't fix by picking up a real copy of the game.

And it turns out that DQ8 DOES work, it just took forever for the intro video to load.
