I could not read the Retired forum even though my account is from 2005 :P I can tell that he has an intellect that exceeds average from his posts. His status updates show an odd stage of maturity or a twisted sense of humor. From what I gathered he posted what he considered an acceptable joke that SS took personally. Jokes can hurt and aren't easily overlooked.

So you guys are siding with him even though he said he insulted SS's former significant other? He hit him below the belt. SS's interaction with him was strictly business.
There are some lines you do not cross. It's repulsive and low.
