I have a pet spider. He's not really a pet but we have a mutual understanding. He stays in his web and kills anything that comes in the house and he gets to live.

No, never watched or heard of it.
Why? Because why not? It's exhilarating.
How? It's quite simple. Go from behind, pin their mouth closed, win.
When? 4 or 5 years ago when I was in Florida. It wasn't a very big one. No images unfortunately but I'm going back down soon. I had a buddy teach me how. Crocodiles are much faster so I don't mess with those

Both parties come out unscathed though. It's almost like bull fighting except you feed the gator after and you all laugh about it that night.
