None of the benders (except for Tenzin) are really good anymore. I'm pretty excited to Zuko's son in action.

It annoys me that Korra's avatar training/avatar state isn't playing any role in it. I agree about the benders sucking. Honestly, metal bending sucks. Toph was SO much better. This series just seems to be dark and depressing :(

Metal bending is obviously useful on occasion, but having the whole police force metal bend instead of just earth bending makes everything SO much more complicated, especially with the Chi blockers constantly electrocuting everyone.
