Hm, the plot of Skyrim was rather shallow. I must say I expected better.

    I think they intend to expand on the Main Quest through DLC which is why the abrupt ending happens. That way when they smooth it out everyone is happy with their purchase.

    Or it's just like Oblivion and a large game expected to distract you instead of zerg rushing the main questline
