Alright, Im 17 years old, and i would like to start a paypal account. Is there any bank account type that i can get that would let me link to paypal? One that I can do without parental monitoring/linking to parents account?

The only downside with that is keeping a lot of money in Paypal is risky because they can freeze your assets if there is a lot of strange activity.

Just open a checking account. Walk down to a bank with your social security number and open a checking account.
