I really hate the way my brother in law talks to my sister. He always cuts her down by calling her dumb, and telling her to shut up. If I say something to her she just says "well, that's the way he is *shrug*". There's a difference between teasing and being a prick. Gah...

He's given her everything she could ever want and need, but I made her promise if physical abuse ever came into the relationship that she'd get out, and I know she'll keep her promise. I don't think he'll ever hit her, but his shitty remarks are hard to hear.
