My left tonsil has been swollen for 2 weeks now. Closest doc appointment I can get is early next month...am I going to die?

Thats crazy, how have I gone my entire life not knowing that was a thing?? If I ever got them & my tonsils swelled, I would probably die. My tonsils are big enough as is, I def wouldn't be able to breathe. x(

Id go to an urgent care. If its strep, they can treat it quickly. If it is an abscess, you might need surgery.
The fact that it is only one side makes it a bit more concerning, but 90% its nothing and will go away, but that 10%, you should get it checked
