If your petpet turns into a pile of soot, can it be zapped into another petpet?

Nalah
Nothing, as you can't paint zapped (or advent calendar) petpets.

Chappy
Coltom. That's not what I asked but thanks for the info.

Chappy, I am bad about that. Mish answered your question right away, so I leeched off of yours. I was really curious. I did try the experiment when you zap a christmas pile of soot, and it turns into a regular pile of soot, it still reverts to a christmas pile of soot when you put it back into your inventory.
