Plus there is a very simple fact that a debt card involves draining your bank account, and expecting the bank to loan you there money while the issue is being resolved, as opposed to a credit card where is a simple matter of having a sum in dispute while there is an investigation. You may not have readily accessible funds while the dispute is being resolved, not to mention the fact that your automatic deposits may be disrupted by the closing of the chequeing account.
