US east Codexians - please be wary. Hurricane Joaquin is headed our way, currently at a category 1, expected to hit category 3 by Saturday. Please continue to watch the weather news for the following week and have an evacuation plan just in case!

@RedLoveBlackHeart I am quite aware of the drought that plagues Cali. That same drought has affected areas of Texas, Arizona and whatnot. Sorry people aren't being more conservative with their water. Dx But yeah, thankfully, I'm military family so we'll be taken care of in the event of an evacuation. Thankfully, we don't live in a house either. We're renting an apartment. I'm just nervous about this being my first potential hurricane. I've been in hurricane like winds (in Alaska, where there are no hurricanes really xD). Hah.

@Coops I wasn't trying to make light of a hurricane or distract from the topic. There's been crazy weather all throughout the US. I have a feeling the weather is going to get stranger. That's good that you're part of a military family. At least you have a plan set in case anything were to happen. I don't really hear much news in other states and I rarely watch TV. I'll be praying for you and the rest of US.

Oh no, I didn't think you were @RedLoveBlackHeart. Sorry if that's how it seemed. I don't even have cable TV. I only know because my university notified me that in the coming week our state is on alert.
