I thought they were buying it for the IP rights, which was solidified with the mobile game, but they're not really going for merch deals or signed IP so I honestly don't know anymore.

considering the original playerbase is 20s+ and are all at least 20+ now they could market to another generation through surrogate but they don't even appear to be moving towards goals like that, I just hope they go bankrupt, liquidize and someone competent buys out the rights.

in a perfect world, right?

Exactly! They're operating under the assumption that most of their user base is still little kids, but I don't think that's been true for a long, long time. I mean Hell, the original concept was for college kids!

It will definitely be interesting to see what's gonna happen. Hopefully it will be good, at worst... who knows.
