It's quite pointless to see a 'Good luck selling!', or 'PM'ed YOU!'

I think the trading section is a good place to show peoples activity and contribution to the site, i mean its a neo cheating site and its a place where members mostly come here to look for other ways of getting their accounts items etc. they always wanted.
Other forums have post count enabled but they monitor the posts, and spam is dealt with.
Id personally rather see tighter moderation on that board than the disabling of posts.
I see where your coming from though, alot of it is crap.

Posts in the trading area don't really contribute to the forum though, they're essentially selfish posts because they only benefit the person either buying or selling stuff.

Moderated by who? We have no moderators.People shouldn't be posting "good luck selling" and "pmed you" tbh.

Sounds like a good idea, or otherwise that only posts over like so many words count (therefore pm'd would not count, but "I have updated my first post and added several pets and accounts" does count. Just an idea)
I think those shouldn't count either. They can always just make that a status.

Perhaps, yes. I don't always look at statusses though, might be just me =DI think those shouldn't count either. They can always just make that a status.

I know it's impossible, I just wish it weren't.

I have an idea. All posts that count towards your post count, must be in the form of a complete sentence, and must contain no spelling or grammatical errors. No more, "lol, jk." or "C, I tuld u it wuld sell."
I know it's impossible, I just wish it weren't.
sure. ill just grab some super intelligent supervisors/ moderators out of my ass; and they can make sure that this is exactly what happens.

Like I stated in the post you so eloquently quoted, "I know it's impossible".

your technically spamming by commenting on the spam, meaning this is just a very useless collection of spam posts. and i felt that that laugh was highly appropriate for your stupidity

You guys sound like a bunch of post control nazis lol no offense though
Oooo waster he just called you a Nazi
you gonna take that from him?
-shrug-
Not all posts in the trade section are useless posts... Just like, 99.9% of them are useless posts.
How about generating a script so that .01% of posts that are posted in the trade section count towards your post count! lulz

I'd say there is a problem if there is someone here who almost has 500 posts, and they've been signed up for a week. So yeah, I don't think there is an issue with limiting post counts in the trading section.

and im not sure if this is possible, but make it so that quoting doesn't add to the word count.
It also might be a good idea to keep the specific number of words needed a secret.

Everyone would figure it out eventually. Even if they posted one word at a time, adding until they found the number. People would be desperate enough to spam that they'd figure it out. People these days, honestly...
