You obviously didn't read the articleI agree with Waser Lave. This is America. You accomadate to our culture. We don't accomadate to yours when you come to OUR country. If they choose to be ignorant, backwards, and live in 1000ad because of their of choice of religion than so be it.
In any case, America's culture is based off of the combined culture of all immigrants. To say otherwise would be daft. While I agree with you to some extent, I think you haven't thought through the implications of your argument.

I would say "Shush, the adults are talking.", but that's clearly not the case either. We should just ban islam altogether. Then they wouldn't be so damn uppity and shit. If they come to our country, living off our tax dollars, they oughtn't be protesting or shit but sitting tight on their asses and contributing, or we'll just expel them back to Dumbfuckistan or whatever shithole they came from.

I have to disagree. People rarely take notice of protests. A protest is just a bunch of people standing around on street corners. However, a riot makes evening news. And if everyone detained says "students against tuition hikes!" you've got press on every news station.Opinion on the cuts:
The cuts are necessary in a society intent on making widespread cuts to all aspects of itself, including the police force, NHS, schooling, council/local boroughs and of course universities.
The otherside of the form is that we go down the path of Greece, mass unemployment on a much larger scale, debt spiraling out of control, mass riots, losing status on the world stage and chaos.
The proposed increase from £3k to £6k for most courses, and £9k for exceptional cases is a fair cut/increase in my opinion, not only will help pay off our debt, make a degree more worthwhile and increase the amount of scholarships available to the poor (as in, people in poverty, not the working class), it'll also give universities more choice in what they can charge. Not all unis will automatically charge £6k for every single course.
Courses at the top unis will start charging more for worthwhile degrees, economics, sciences, math, politics etc, whilst other less important degrees will more or less stay the same, such as media and film.
In the long run, a few extra thousand to help in a group effort of every man, woman and child for a degree which will help job prospects is well worth it.
Professional opinions on the riots:
Immature, childish and reckless. These people are truly what's wrong with this country. Protests are fine, hell, they're our human right in my eyes, the right to complain when something's wrong and that's part of our Britishness! But when you start putting people's lives and businesses at risk by breaking the law, you lose all respect from the public and lose sight of your overall objective.
The fact that the increase in police, insurance claims, repairs and other financial resources will just further increase the governments mind to increase uni fees.
Personal opinions on the riots:
Fuck them student cunts. When fellow officers are getting bricks, bottles of urine, planks of wood and concerete thrown at them, I feel sick. To know people I work with could be injured just because a bunch of soap-dodging, useless dregs of society are moaning that they have to work harder, I get pissed off.
That's just my personal opinion because the line of work I'm in. Within the next year or two, (definitely before the Olympics), I'll be manning events/protests like this. It worries me, people our intellect, or supposed intellect, behave like this. It's the G20 protests all over again.
I'm not saying it's acceptable behavior: I'm saying it's effective behavior. People respond to money, sex, and violence. Not much else.

You're going to heaven now. Deal with it.Fuck'em. Religion is their choice, we shouldn't have to make changes just to accommodate them.
(Also, I bought a sandwich the other day and apparently it was Halal, I didn't want a Halal sandwich.)
And yeah, but to some people, religion is such a deep and fundamental thing that having a world that doesn't conform to their beliefs is in their view outrageous and unfair. It's easy for us to say that they should deal with it.
No easy way of going about it. I'm of the opinion that places should be able to charge interest though, because it's their service and they can choose to run it whatever way they wish. If there's a problem, competition is there to alleviate the problem in most cases, and someone else will eventually dominate the market for 'Muslim' loans, if there is such a market or if you can even dominiate it.
Maybe Muslim groups should discuss this matter amongst themselves and come up with a solution? There are a lot.

If by respond you mean increasing the amount of people hating students, pushing up rises and getting arrested. Yes, riots are a good idea. Except they're not. Ever.
