I've seen this on the television for a while, and it's still kinda bugging me.

"It's okay to cheat on your boyfriend if he doesn't use Kayak.com"

Maybe I'm looking a little bit too much into this...

Talking to another guy isn't cheating. Maybe she was eating and chillaxing waiting for her boyfriend to arrive, and the guy came to chat, and he was hungry too. :D

But yeah, I see where the interpretation can come in. I think that's what the commercial writers intended to say... that she found some other guy.

Who says you can't start developing a new relationship because your significant other didn't show up?

What should she do? Lay in her room sad that she's all alone?

Smart money says they should have planned their trip together instead of separately, but if they can't communicate properly, the relationship was doomed anyway ^_^

Well in the end it wasn't even how he planned the trip, the jackass just overslept or something. lol

Romantic getaway... and the bitch didn't even call him?

There are so many goddamned plot holes in this 30 second story.

I dont think it's saying: use kayak or your girlfriend will find another guy.
They're playing on the insecurities that people have, it's more like: use kayak or your gf might meet someone new.

Yeah, you're right! Why would they plan the trip separately, and she not call him at all? It looks like she sure moved on quick. O_o And hmm, do single guys often go to resorts by themselves to try and find people?

I think we're overanalyzing this commercial so much. :p I don't think they intended this to spawn all these interpretations. :p

I guess the only thing you can't show on advertisment is suicide.

It's just a comical ad that creates a twist by going against our natural asumption of the situation, (we're told Mandy has a boyfriend, we're shown Mandy sitting with a man and we assume that's her boyfriend), it's not trying to impart a set of values like it's okay to cheat on your boyfriend if he doesn't use kayak or if he sleeps-in and misses the flight, it's just a light jovial ad.

Definitely think you're looking too much into this one, though if I was gay and I had a boyfriend who didn't use Kayak, I'd totally cheat on him.

I'm pretty sure you all fail.

If you dont use kayak, you will not get the proper flights, and you gf will be left all alone. And go off with some hot guys.

Moral of the story. Girls are bitches.

He overslept because he spent all night trying to find a good flight. Stupid.

Why do people even try to make good commercials when no one can understand them? I think commercials should just be black background, white text that says your company name, and what it does. Because trying to make a clever commercial like this just leads to thousands of retards failing to understand it.

Isn't the reverse true? What if that guy's girlfriend didn't use kayak and he went to look for single girls? :p

But then we wouldn't have funny commercials either.

If she didn't show up, she gave up her chance for sex. Someone else will be blessed with that. Duh.

And people dont get funny commercials either, so whats the point?

That's pretty heartless regarding a relationship that hasn't even been broken yet. Pre-Dante. xD

If I didn't read all these explanations I wouldn't have understood this. At first I thought that was her with her boyfriend. Then they said another guy. Then I was like wait her boyfriend is sleeping.

I've seen so many commercials that have left a blank look on my face. It's ridiculous.
    Or the Yaz commercials.
It's all these girls playing violin, or doing sports or cutting their hair, then they're like TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT YAZ.

Bitch, you didn't tell me what Yaz is.
    (I know now.)

You just made my day, and I just woke up!

I think the commercial is just a humerus idea that the writers came up with, but I can see where the interpretation comes in.
