Meanwhile, South Korea said Thursday that it will strengthen and supplement its rules of engagement in the Yellow Sea, following Tuesday's shelling by North Korea.
Marine forces based in five islands near North Korea and the disputed Northern Limit Line also will be reinforced, a government spokesman said.

Depends on if you rich or not. If you are anything but rich, immigration makes a whole lot of sense.

obama called for de-escalation, then he sends the george washington to korea, irony?
The military drills were already planned before the recent incident.

We (that is the US) usually have one battle group in each ocean. It makes sense to move it into a protective range when a hostile country fires live rounds at civilians. S.K. is our ally, and even Japan got scared when N.K started testing ballistic missiles over the Sea of Japan. We're the defense force for a good number of countries in the area, plus we have colonial possessions in the area (Guam etc) which provide the necessary excuse to move carriers into position. It's not ironic. It's doubletalk. But even then, anyone could have called it.obama called for de-escalation, then he sends the george washington to korea, irony?

ehhhh, obama could've canceled it, it might de-escalate the situation but NK might also see it as a sign of weakness and passivity and be even more violent. By sending the carriers the NK get intimidated. So its a lose lose no matter what happens.

Now I kinda wanna blame American interventionist foreign policy for the attack, I mean without the drills happening NK would have even less bs reasons to attack

Yes. Blame the US. Everyone blames the US. Its no big deal anymore. Do we have military bases in almost every country? Yes. Do we spend after 150 billion in economic aide to other countries? Yes. Do we protect anyone that asks for help? Yes.
Everything is americas fault.
Its our fault we defend South (My drunk ass totally typed North... I'm Sarah Palin when drunk

To be fair I think if it weren't for American interventionist foreign policies the whole of Korea might have ended up like North Korea

i sense great sarcasm. Obey the UN? with the influence the US has in the UN it virtually is the UN. Sure you spend a lot on foreign aid, it evens out with the establishment of economic spheres of influence in foreign countries (my friend argued this and used the Rwandan genocide as an example, no valuable resources in Rwanda hence little UN inferference).

who knows what could've happened, maybe it would be worse, maybe it would be better

Yeah, we can annihilate the entire earth like 5x over... but they only need to get a couple off on us and boom. Let alone fallout and radiation poisoning for years to come...
So despite the fact that they CAN nuke... and nuclear war is possible in the coming years... More importantly, this puts the U.S. in quite a bind as were are officially involved in that war... yet China has us in their pocket for finances...
Also, I reiterate my original sentiment to your comment about wishing we would nuke someone. Mass genocide is wrong... plain and simple. And if we go willy-nilly nuking people, I assure you we won't have anything on any store shelves because it all comes from out of the country... and other than that, as if we didn't already have enough countries hating us, you are talking about a massive world movement to wipe us from the globe.
I'm tired and need rest, but please think before you say such ignorant and immoral things.
Peace and love to all around the globe.
Sometimes things that are "wrong" (i don't even know what you mean by that, it is such a general term. morally wrong? environmentally wrong? what?) and things that are necessary to ensure a greater good do not coincide.
I bet you get all bleeding heart over Hiroshima too. Although Nagasaki was unnecessary.
There are no absolutes when it comes to these types of things. If you think so, you are either christian, an idealist, or retarded (retarded idealist is synonymous with some christians. some of them.) Not literally retarded though, because like those kids don't even care.
Sorry had to get my daily troll in.

Some dudes got nuked, now no one else has to get nuked.
But wait, some crazy mofos want to nuke their own kind and
even their big neighbor/only "supporter" don't like it.
Then some other extremely big mofo wants use it as an excuse
to increase influence in the area, especially next to the border
of big neighbor/only "supporter."
Big neighbor/only "supporter" can't have that shit happening.
More shit happens.
Humans are stupid in general, retards or not.
I find it funnier that people don't got better things to do
than talk about shit they can't control to begin with.
SHIT HAPPENS.
