Excellent reading skills.
I quite clearly asked you to link to a rebuttal of yours, to a comment of mine, not to link to a nice list of comments I made in a thread.

On top of that, I'm not sure how much more in-depth you'd have liked me to be in pointing out that you'd misunderstood the meaning of the term "rhetorical" not once, but several times in a row. It's tough to come up with more ways to point that out, especially using more than one line.

You claimed that you don't commonly use one-line insults and I proved you wrong.

If you think a sample of three, out of over sixteen thousand, is statistically significant, then I can only hope you're not intending on pursuing a career in the sciences.

this is the most pointless thing ive read in a while. even if this concept is true, the fact that you posted it under "i read the greatest thing today" makes me think youve really gotta get out a tad more.

Well the thing it only takes 1 organism to prove that the basic build blocks aren't what we think they are.

Not if the original hypothesis wasn't absolute.

All null hypotheses are absolute. Don't try to outsmart me, please.

you're going to have to explain that because i'm not sure if that agrees with what i've learned.

Also, I think its really cute how you like to prolong these discussions XD perhaps we should do a timed crossword race after your lesson on hypotheses

Every null hypothesis states absolutely that the experiment will show no statistical effect. It's the way actual science papers are structured and published.

How am I prolonging the discussion any more than anyone else? I only reply to comments. It's not like I come back and decide that I'm not finished, and just carry on posting even though no one else has O_o

Ahh as I am only replying to your comments how delightful we are one in the same : D

to be honest i had no idea what absolute meant. Is something still absolute if it's wrong though? or is it mutually exclusive ( u can answer me in pm if you feel its too offtopic)

Off topic can fuck off :p

A statement can be absolute, regardless of it's accuracy. For example, if I said "Apples are green", then I'm clearly wrong, and can be disproven by the existence of a single apple.
On the other hand, "Most apples are green" is far more difficult to disprove, being that you would have to show that at least half the apples -ever- were not green. Of course, evidence can be provided for a disproof, by random sampling etc, but it's impractical to physically demonstrate the inaccuracy.
