So a thing around facebook has been going on, if you don't own a facebook, I'll let you in. Basically to stop child violence, you place a picture up of your favorite cartoon when you were a child. Now it turns out so pedo's have been doing this so they can get their friendship accepted easier because if they display a cartoon picture, it'll show themselves as making peace. No idea if this concept is true or not, but if it is, I'm definitely going to hell for loling at this.

I participated because I wanted the world to know of my love for Scooby Doo

As for helping children: screw that

And that's just what the pedos wanted <3

But seriously, I doubt that it was a bunch of pedos... I don't get how having a cartoon profile would make kids more likely to add them if EVERYONE had cartoon photos anyway...

This is as bad as those stupid celebs stopping twitter and such, although it was good while it lasted, to raise money for AIDS.

Yea it used to be only for college people with college emails, but now anyone with an email can get on and yes a lotta kids use it.. I know of junior high kids using it, hell who knows maybe even elementary kids are using it.

Yes, it's creepy the things an children is exposed to if you leave him roam freely on internet.
But thats why parents should take control of their activities until they reach 10 or are mature enough.

I changed my pic, but just cus I found it a nice action. I don't think it'll do anything, unless raising awareness could count.

Eh, a lot of people who are 18+ aren't mature at all. I think you just need to have a kid

so certain minorities are mature by the age of 14...

    lol Americans

Well when a 13-14 year old [race] male and female have sex and result in little red babies, not much the government can do.

But you cannot control their acces to internet that much.
That is even bad for them. Maybe since they're ten you can begin leaving them get freely into internet (with supervision, of course)

But I never liked facebook because of that. You open your information to everyone.
I dislike giving very personal information on internet.

So did almost everyone here :l
and that doesn't mean that's the best for children.

I don't get how people have over 400 pictures of themselves. I found it weird if you stand in front of a mirror in the washroom with a friend taking pictures. I would hesitate going up to a friend, "Hey lets go in my washroom and take some picture." Its why I only have 7 pictures on facebook :(

I have over 400 pictures of myself, but that's because of grad and what not. I actually have some of the fewest: my friend has over 2500 photos (but she IS one of those who goes "photo shoot!" and then they make fish/duck face)

Its this same reasoning that changed the voting laws.

The government said we are not mature enough to vote at 18 and yet they can draft us.

Soooo, we are not mature at 13 but at 14 we are responsible for our actions and can be put to death..BS..AT that age hormones do all the shit...No one should be considered an adult until 18.

theres been a few fb groups like that in the past, but you can never tell whether people are just being morons and calling them a bunch of pedo's for the sake of it. to be honest, pedo's looking for kids still into those cartoons would be better off going down to the local toy store to pick up some young meat.
if a child is too young or immature to be surfing the net, they shouldnt be doing it without parental supervision. any parent that lets a six year old freely surf the net is a moron in my opinion.

HAHAHAHA, my boyfriend and I were JUST wondering how the fuck this helped abused children in any way, and he was calling them all retards.
Then the pedo thing came up that same night, and we laughed our asses off.

So a big HA HA to anyone who did this trying to help out ^___^

*** By the way, I know QUITE a few kids on facebook. Two being my little brother and sister, even my boyfriends younger siblings have one. The majority of them are still in elementary school. :p

    Facebook...pedobear's best friend?

It's pretty stupid for them to think this will help but at least they had good intentions...maybe.
