The Kindle is easier for say... reading the 54 books of the Animorphs series without wasting 300 pounds to revisit my childhood.
Or, you know, for on planes, trains and automobiles, where carrying The Complete Narnia Chronicles is somewhat unwieldy.
Or for when I don't want to drop £50 on a textbook I may never even use.

It's not a book replacement. It's a book augmentation

I got $250 cash
my mom is taking me shopping and I have a $500 limit
$75 for Target
$25 for iTunes
$100 for WalMart (yes, I asked for that)
Some t-shirts
A basket full of Candy
A new charger for my phone (i reeeeeally needed that <33)
and my grandma made me cookies ^___^

My brother came up was more than I did though.
He got a 32 inch flatscreen tv and a fucking Nintendo Wii. Brat

If that's all he got, then adding the price of a standard 32" TV and a Nintendo Wii, then his gifts were worth less than yours all added up.

Sure the language is simplified, but the books actually tackle some pretty deep themes.

I'm so jealous right now. All I got for christmas were a shitload of e-cards and chocolate from friends. Oh and $25 from my dad which I used to get myself 3 booster packs of Weiss Schwarz. I'm such a geek. D:
