Just curious to see how everyone here dresses, what brands they like, etc.
I'm personally very concerned with my clothing. I like fashion and looking nice. I read GQ and a host of other websites on men's style. My friends and girlfriend say I'm metro. I definitely am, but I like to think of it as more of a gentleman ^_^

Anyway, I love layering in the cold :p In the winter now I'm wearing lots of sweaters over dress shirts or plain colors. Sometimes a thermal or a henley if it's warmer. Peacoats, scarves, and leather gloves when I'm going out to the city ;) Sometimes throw in a cardigan if I'm going to class.

I don't feel like going through the other seasons :p I always love my suits and ties ;)

Favorite brands: Express, Polo, Sperry, Alfani, Pierre Cardin, H&M, Burberry, Kenneth Cole
Not a brand-whore, I wear whatever looks nice, but these are the stores I frequent.

Oh, gotta have my skinnies, band-tee,and converse for shows ;)

Umm, I don't think I belong in this thread at all...

The only brand I have significant ties to is Puma. I couldn't tell you what brand the jeans I'm wearing are, without looking at the tag.

It's not that I don't like looking nice, it's that I can't afford to look nice on a student budget.

I'm a student as well, and I look nice on a student budget :p

Looking nice isn't about spending lots of money. It's about spending the money you do spend wisely.
I buy most of my clothing on sale. It's cheaper, and I can build up a collection this way.

Shit I wish I had your kind of money. xD

Dude, I'm telling you, I'm not rich!

I buy all of my clothing myself, aside from a few gifts I get for Christmas and my birthday and a random gift from the girlfriend here and there.
You just gotta know how to shop.

I buy clothes that are comfortable and are not overly homosexual; e.g. I tend to avoid stores like Hollister, Abercrombie&Fitch, Hot Topic, etc.

I guess I buy mostly from Gap because Gap often has sales and such. And since my school requires collared shirts I buy those too.

But in fact there are only two items of clothing that I particularly like- one is a tightish blue t-shirt that accentuates my musculature and the other is a pair of well-fitting blue jeans. Together they bring out my European-ness, which is always nice, and I feel they make me look attractive.

Got any good male fashion sites with advice? I think I have decent style with clothing and what not, but I want to make the transition from highschool/college to workplace. Start looking more professional if ya know what I mean

Abercrombie and American Eagle have great jeans that are super cheap on sale. Honestly, thinking that a clothing line is homosexual is barring you wearing a lot of things.

Clothing definitely makes people more attractive. If you like a European look, try some v-necks and narrow pointed sneakers, such as puma puts out.

AskMen.com is great for that. Literally, it has the EXACT article you requested :p
GQ has some pretty good stuff on their website, but much better in the magazine.

Yeah, if you shop around - you'll find that a lot of places offer pretty good discount to students.

My personal favorite store is Banana Republic, Club Monaco, and Jcrew.
When I wear jeans - I like to wear raw denim :p I've been trying out new things, went through a pair of Iron Hearts, Flatheads and now I'm experimenting with a pair of Samurais.

I guess if they're cheap, they might be suitable; I'll check those out next time I go to the mall.

I'll see about the v-necks, those kind of shoes make me look french, which isn't the effect I'm aiming for :b

    Thanks for the advice.

JCrew is a great store. I love Banana Republic for khakis and chinos in the summer as well ^_^

Just googled Iron Hearts, look pretty nice. You'd probably like True Religion Brand jeans.

    haha, nope :(
They don't really make good jeans - a lot of these brands that people tend to associate with nice denim (True religion, nudies, etc) are actually really shitty.
My Iron Hearts were amazing - i paid a ton for them but 22 oz denim, I swear that shit is so thick - it keeps you warm at night :p

I love skinny jeans, and I got like 6 pairs from Europe which aren't well known brands, but they're my favourite jeans.
I like Aritzia although its expensive, I love their sweaters and their TNA bags & pants. :p

I have a few American Eagle shirts, and I just got a Bench sweater that I love. I'm mostly into typical hipster clothes, like Hollister and AE.
Oh I also LOVE forever 21, but the thought of them probably getting their stuff made in sweatshops puts me off.

Peacoats <3 I have about 6 different ones, heh. I love them.

The only brand I would buy would be for my skinny jeans - I love Criminal Damage skinny jeans (they have to be black). My other jeans are usually slouch jeans/boyfriend jeans - baggy and hella comfy, it doesn't bother me what brand they are as long as they're comfy and quite a light colour of denim.

The only t-shirts I own are band t-shirts I've accumulated from going to gigs over the past few years and a few plain black t-shirts for job interviews :p The same goes for hoodies - they're all band hoodies. I have 2 plain black cardigans for summer time (they're light material so they do for night time when it's too hot for a hoody)

Here are my favourite t-shirts and hoodies that I wear quite a bit

    Spoiler

I'm very particular about my shoes. I usually wear boots and I generally won't wear them unless they're a good/decent make.

At the minute these are my two favourite pairs...

    Spoiler

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Iron Fist Heels/Wedges, they're amazing!
    I have a shoe/boot fetish :p

    Random,

if you wanna try it out nice jeans - self edge (based in California and New York) is really great
    http://www.selfedge.com/

They're a little pricey, but they're a whole different class then the jeans you would normally wear. Honestly, you buy a pair and you'll never feel the same about wearing Levi's or True Religions again.

I have trouble finding regular skinny jeans because those that fit my waist don't fit my bum, and those that fit my bum are too loose on my waist.

Last year in Romania, I found a pair of jeans that perfectly fit around my waist and ass and I loved them but I got a rip in the crotch.
I have never faced a sadder day. :(

If you were the Asian bro in your recent avatar, you're fucking huge. (Muscle wise)

My favorite outfit, I don't know. I'll post some recent pics:

Don't really have a lot of pictures on FB with recent clothes. Mostly pre-prom stuff. I un-tag anything with alcohol so I can't find anything :p

Sitting around in my 5 year old adidas shorts and 8 year old shirt I got from toronto, I can say with relative certainty I'm not the guy to consult when it comes to style :p

Except for a nice pair of overpriced puma shoes (which last me around 2-3 years) and the overpriced jeans I put on when I go out, I dress pretty cheaply :p

    I don't think I own a shirt over 20$.
