Did they really? Well, I guess it makes sense after the big nerf to red buff. I really don't like the more recent changes. Ever since they started to phase out healing altogether, I've been disappointed with every patch. The worst for me were the Morde changes. I loved old Morde in my normal elo and when I was in 13/14/15XX ranked, but now I just can't get into him. They made him a shitty melee caster with no CC instead of the dps meatshield that purposely didn't have CC.

I quit whenever sunfire capes stoped stacking.

And will quit for good (Now I just play space teemo with friends) when flash is gone.

I didn't mind the flash nerf. The proposed change and the changes thus far are laughable to me. I've been in too many games with 10 flashes simply because it is a waste NOT to grab it. I foresee a strong strategy emerging of triple summoner spells thanks to the flash boots. I take merc treads on just about every champion simply because against 95% of all champion combinations, all the other boots are shit.

But yeah, I've basically quit as well. I get on once a day now if time permits and just dick around in a normal game with my old team or a in-house practice game so I can play one-handed and still win.

"You don't have permission to access /server-status on this server."

Meh. HoN is getting more and more appealing. Though I wanna wait on dota2 before making a purchase

It's just beause of the new patch and they're adding new characters and such

I have HoN and I got bored of it within 3 days because it was the EXACT SAME as DotA. LoL is similar to DotA, but there's an equivalent hero in HoN as there is for DotA (items too).

plus when you lose HoN, you lose whatever points and many games require you to have X points before you can join them (you start at 1500 or something), which SUCKS for new players. I lost like 2 games and got down to 1200, couldn't find many good games to play, didn't want to pay $25 to "reset my score" so I just quit. Waste of my money >_<

thus it was the same as DotA, except I had to learn which hero did what. Same learning curve, none of the "oooohhh this is new :D" feeling >_<

Wait, you own a copy of hon and don't use it?

The score system makes sense. You lose games so your score drops and then you play games with people of a similar score and then as you get better you win more games and your score increases.
I do agree that it can suck if you drop really low, like 1200s and then you're in games plagued with leavers/noobs. Crawling back up to 1500 must be a bitch. But back when I was playing beta the stats got reset every couple months so it was more forgiving on newbies

I'm pretty sure LoL does the same with it's match making services it just doesn't have any visual numbers.

How long does downtime normally last?

Yeah I have it :/ I got bored, not even because of the scoring system. Since I literally played DotA for years, I expected HoN to be like LoL; similar game, but with new champions/heroes and stuff. But when it was all the same I was like "...meh, what's the point?" so I stopped playing.

And yeah it makes sense, but I hate when i do well and some noob players REALLY suck and just make me lose points. It frustrates me to no end >_< LoL i just play for fun and have nothing at "stake" if you know what I mean :p I get stressed easily haha.

not sure abotu downtime, like I said, this is my 8th day playing :o

When you hit lvl 30 and start playing ranked, the current "metagame" is to ban all junglers, including the apparently now OP Eve. You get used to junglers as your map awareness grows. Also, last hitting and controlling your lane effectively shatter the use of a jungler. Play smart and you get to laugh as they run at you under your turret.

I don't get it, junglers never really were a problem for me :/ What's so bad about them?

Bad players like to push their lanes to the farthest possible. That leaves them exposed, then a jungler comes along and rapes the lane. It's a great laugh to watch and so fun as the jungler. I've never had this problem, but TONS of level 30s do it and don't learn from their mistakes.

When server is busy there's a cheat code you can insert to keep playing lol. I thought it was a troll thing, but I tested it myself. Whenever server is busy, do this:

Click on play, then, using the keyboard:
left, right, left, right, down, down, up, up. Then press 3 and 4, above E and R.
After doing this, the "play" button will be normal and server will be "online". Again, not bs, I tested it myself. Don't let too many people know, because there was another code like this, but it got too popular and they changed it lol (At least it was what my friend told me)

Random generosity is the best. All my skins are from gifted RP, my flickrpro was a gift. Friends and strangers can be nice!

On an LoL note, my verdict of Renekton: Meh. It's gonna take a lot of re-balancing of old champions to the new standards to impress me.

I don't mean to say that Renekton is a weak champion. I have seen every champion, in or out of flavor, played well enough to force an unsuspecting victim to utter "dammit, that champion is OP" to themselves. But for this lizard thing, I see him falling out of popularity in the same fashion as every new champion does. The last champion to not do that was Miss Fortune, and that was only because defense-stacking was the in thing to do and of all the ranged carries, she flaunted it so well.

Viegar is a fun little guy if you're in a farming stalemate. He is an amazingly balanced antimage: nukes enemy caster in 1 combo or less, but that's all he'll get off in a teamfight since he's a super squishy. A super-high elo player named LoCicero or something similar is amazing with him. He sits and farms for the first 25 minutes and gets a quick 300+ AP, then either farms another 25 minutes for fun or waddles around and nukes as roaming veigar. He fell in popularity a lot due to the "tank caster". Ones that benefit too much from hp/defence stacking, like Vlad and Swain.

well I think it was because I had Morganna and some other spell caster so I did a1.5 k damage. plus I had heartstopper staff or something, so I would cast that, Q, R = dead. I wouldn't even need to cast E at times :p

My favorite veigar item is deathfire grasp, which deals a percentage-based magic damage, and helps him stay competitive vs non-casters.

I think I might actually buy Veig once I get enough IP. I'm sucker for spell casters :/

I also like the fact that spellcasters are able to last long-term in LoL, unlike DotA where if you don't rape early game or if it's a long game, you're basically just there for CC.
