Depends on the state in which you live, they may make some steps or other. If you aren't US must do the complete guide, but if you are from U.S., go to step number 2
The prizes are not tradeable, some are APU. each of the code refers to a place of Neopia and a neopet with a specific color. all objects are random and you get 96 objects in total

1. enters here put change its status to US, in your "US State" put any place (I put california), and the "Zip / Postal Code" put a 5 digit number (42589 is the mine)

2. Go here insert all these codes (can use 8 times each):

if by valuable you mean it can be either stored in your SBD or discarded, then yes.

I wish I could give them away or something since I have 5 of some of the same items. I even wish I could sell them but sadly you can't. I would discard them but then I have hopes they may someday be sellable or tradeable, even though I highly doubt it, lol

you can discard the items to "money tree" but they will disapear

The only thing I actually liked about this was the backgrounds, the others are random crap that is rotting in my SDB.

Shame they're not tradeable...I collect cloud items, so it sucks that I'll miss out on potential new additions to my collection if I'm not lucky enough to get all the cloud prizes available.

Some of the backgrounds are nice, but the rest...I don't know what I'd do with them.

I know, it's frustrating isn't it!

The only time I bothered to change my location for 'stuff' was when there was that stupid gambling ban for Aussie users. I haven't tried other than that as it seems like a stupid thing to risk getting frozen over (unless one day, they release a prize of actual value).

It's pretty much only for customizing and having the stuff, since you can redeem those codes on every acc, no matter where you are, by simply changing your country on neopets.

Very useful guide tho, for those who didn't know about. It's always good to have some free stuff for customizing your pet(s) on shells, makes it more legit.
I redeemed the codes on all my accs (including siteaccs, since they are not tradeable, that is allowed) and use some of them every now and then. I'm kinda in love with that space station bg ♥
