It does work actually. I use that site all de time as an app on my fone and I asked how much they get paid and they said exactly 2 cents per question.
They also said once you get moved up n stuf they pay like 5 cents per question and so on.

Working on it...
Try getting a job when you have no transportation, in a tiny ass town, where the only business is your dad's, and he's too much of a dick to hire you.
Also, don't come back with, "Well go get a car so you can drive to another town." Everyone says that, but they don't stop to think, no car = no job, no job = no car.

Oh, that and the last time I worked for him, I was 12, and he used to viciously beat me when there were no customers around, so I'd rather not take that option anyways.

Thanks, and I already got accepted. Going through those Search U. videos now. My internet is being a pain in the ass though, so it's taking forever.

You don't get accepted until you complete the Search U. videos and take the Readiness test that those videos are getting you prepared for.
Remember: You can't take the test more than once so make sure to really pay attention to those videos; its critical.

Oh, alright, thanks. And I figured out what's wrong with the internet too. My sisters are torrenting shit, and won't knock it off so i can do stuff, even though I pause my downloads so they can do whatever they want.

Tell them that you'll give them $50 dollars to stop downloading.
Then when you're done with your business and they demand you pay them, simply repeat after me, "April fools bitches; Winning!"

Just in!
Anybody who gets accepted this weekend will also be able to participate in this event (There are many like this every month)

Expeditors

Complete 400 sessions and get $1.00

then get an additional $1 for every 200 sessions you complete after that!

600 sessions=$2.00…
1,000 sessions=$4.00…
2,000 sessions=$9.00…

And so on!

This is additional money added towards your total. For example; You do 400 sessions that's $8.00, but with this event going on you earn $9.00.

How long does it usually take til you find whether you were accepted or not? And they contact you via email, right?

Usually takes about 2-4 days, so they say.
Although, I have gotten accepted within 24 hours.
And yes they contact you via email.
If you check my thread, there is a link where you can ask if you got accepted or not, if the process takes longer than a week.
How do you think you did on the test?

Ah, I see. I'll check out the link if I don't hear anything within a week. I think I did pretty good with the test, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Seemed like there were two questions that weren't PAQs and I didn't know if I was supposed to google and answer it myself or rephrase the question and send it to a guide. I guess that's the bit that confused/confuses me.

Usually if you can't find it in the PAQ and you can't find it in the drop down links below, you just send it.
"When in doubt, send it out" Never search Google for an answer unless it's something like Translating, it's just not worth your time.
Guides are only required to answer 58% of all the questions that come in.
It's okay if you got some answers wrong on the readiness test because they just check to see if you get the general idea.
Goodluck!Posted Image

I signed up yesterday and took the test. I feel like I did really well, English and Writing were always my strongest courses in school. I get unemployment from the state, so any extra money will be cool. I tried that kgb site first but they said they weren't hiring so ChaCha it is!

Congratulations!
Thanks, It does help me out, and ChaCha is good for when you're bored. Also, its kind of addicting ^^
I recommend you don't guide with ChaCha in points mode, it's not worth it! I learned that the hard way :/
Tip: Keep Google Translate as one of your tabs while guiding with ChaCha.
There's some good traffic on ChaCha atm, so if you haven't done so, start guiding because this is the time of day where you make the most $.

2. You don't have to schedule to work for ChaCha, which is one of the most lovely parts about it.
You can work whenever you want and however long you choose Posted Image
Although, I think you do need to work at least a minimum of 8 hours per month, which isn't hard.
If you're not working for at least 8 hours a month, you might as well just steal change from wishing wells; imo.

Actually you don't have to schedule work for KGB either. They encourage you to do so because they like to know that they will have enough agents online to answer questions quickly at any given time, but over the summer when I was answering questions I literally never knew when I was going to have time to get on so I didn't schedule any shifts. I just signed on and started taking texts. As long as there aren't a ridiculous number of agents on, you can get on unscheduled at any time. And there's no enforced minimum number of hours on KGB either. When I first became an agent they used to say that we had to be on at least 8 hours a month, too, but they literally never enforced it and I think now they've actually taken that rule out?

Not that I would recommend working for KGB over ChaCha since neither are very efficient ways of making money.

I just assumed you had to schedule work for KGB because some dude posted stating that you had to.
I don't think ChaCha really enforced the 8 hours a month rule either, I think they just say that so you keep working for them.

Also, I agree with you, they aren't very efficient ways of making money; however, it is a way to make a small sum of cash if you've got nothing to do on your free time.

Ah yes, ChaCha. ChaCha & I have a love-hate relationship.
They love when I work as I usually always have my 95~100% accuracy with 58~80% PAQ usage, but I hate them as I have a low attention span and it's painful how stupid some of the questions/users asking questions are.

On the bright side, I've been working on it on/off for about 2 years now. It's an excellent source of income when you can either not (easily) find a job for whatever reasons, just need a few extra bucks here or there, or are simply bored out of your mind. Has definitely helped me pay off a few bills & buy food when money was tight a few months, but now that money is pretty decent and starting a job soon... it's nice to have a job I can sit around in my PJs, watch TV/listen to music, drink or smoke, and do a plethora of other things at the same time. Really, nothing better than having a job in which you're your own boss working your own hours wherever you want (home, the beach, IHOP, etc.)

It's always funny to hear "$.02/question isn't worth my time" then continue to bitch how they never have any money, can't get a job, etc.
Trust me, it adds up more quickly than you'd realize (especially if you have your favorite show/songs playing at the same time) and something is always better than nothing.
Not to mention there's generally always some contest or bonus cash opportunity going on, especially on weekends.

As for the KGC>ChaCha thing... many good points have already been brought up, but in my own experiences it was 1000x easier getting a job with ChaCha than KGB as KGB seems constantly full on staff each time I apply.

I won't lie though, this job isn't for everyone.
It's definitely not a "get rich quick" scheme or the best for a FT job (though, with dedication is possible). The questions you get (especially as an Ex) can be annoying, gross, harassing, etc. so you either learn to take them with a grain of salt, answer/forward them on as quickly as possible, or give yourself breaks to recover (or quit).
But hey, it's definitely worth trying (especially if you don't have anything better to do), free, and will get you some extra income (the amount solely depending on you).
To anyone who gives it a shot, I sincerely wish you the best of luck with it. :)

Oh and, while (Ge)neralists/(Sp)ecialists may "make more" per question, it also typically takes a lot longer to answer than (Ex)pediters who rely on quick answer tools or forwarding it on. Ultimately the pay is about the same. Started as Ex, moved to Ge/Sp, and could not wait to get back to Ex (especially with the new Ex UI; doing at least 4x faster than previously). I'm making around $4-6/hr as an Ex (not including contest/bonus pay) and the highest payout in any given month was around $360; usually make more in the summer when college isn't breathing down my neck constantly. lol

Could also use referrals/team members but I wont step on Oyster's turf. ;)
Figured I'd contribute my own experiences for anyone up on the fence about trying it out or not at least though.
Again, good luck! ^-^

Live long and ChaCha!

PS: Saw a brief mention of "time requirements" - in the two years I've worked I've realized there are no set amount of time you must work per month. Some months I don't do anything at all and there's never been a problem. Like I said, it's entirely up to you to work as much or as little as you want... as long as you're meeting your percentage requirements (doing a good job in other words, and even then they're pretty lenient as long as you learn from your mistakes.)
