Ok so a long time ago when i used to use photoshop there'd be a shortcut I'd use where i would make a new blank layer press ctrl+A, press ctrl+shift+C then ctrl+V and it would paste everything like the whole image of the sig on one layer. But for some reason my shortcuts in photoshop no longer work so i was wondering if there was a manual way to do this? My apologies if this is hard to understand but all your efforts will be much appreciated :)

i just tried what you outlined above mate and it works fine with me? What version of Photoshop are you running? If youre trying to copy all merged items, make sure theyre merged first. Press CTRL+SHIFT+E to merge all visible layers, then try your CTRL+A, CTRL+SHIFT+C, CTRL+V. If that doesnt work, im not sure what to do im sorry :( best of luck

I'm running CS5 but i'm sure it's just my pc being gay as always. It would do what i said but withought actually merging all the layers which i would rather avoid because if i decide to change something then i would just go back to my previous layers and adjust, but if i merge them all unless i go through the history i won't be able to un-merge them meaning i'd have to start from scratch :p

Why not merge it, copy it, then un-merge it right away. Sure it's not the same things back that prevents you from having to search history and undo it right then. As soon as you hit ctrl+c hit ctrl+z to undo.
Well I'm assuming ctrl+z is undo as it's undo for everything else. (I'm a Gimp user, don't mind me lol)

From what I got out of your post I think you're trying to apply image. o.0

Make a new layer. Go to Image --> Apply image.

It'll make a single new layer with all the visible layers.

I dunno if that's what you're looking for though

    New layer then:
    Edit - > Image - > Apply Image
    OR
    Shift + Ctrl + Alt + E
That should paste the visible onto the new layer.
