Ok. Simple process. I've got .mp4 files. I want to burn them onto a DvD with a menu and chapters.

I spent 3 hours downloading Nero since none of the Windows products worked with .mp4.

It gives me like Nero Burning, Nero BackItUp, NeroMediaHub, Nero Vision and Nero StartSmart.

I tried Nero vision because some tutorials online referred me to it. I import my files and it says "error not all files bould be added because some of the nexessary licenses have not been activated. Please follow the instructions on the screen to activate your license."

I hit OK.

Error. "Nero Vision cannot import pictures as titles"

I hit OK.

And it just keeps looping over and over again and I can't close the program so basically it's fucked.

Pointers? Tips? SOMETHING?! I thought I could get this done like 5 min no problem before bed but computers are bitches -_- I honestly don't see why this should be so hard >.<

PS: Can't convert files from .mp4. They're way too big for like everything I've got (I've got like 5 conversion programs and a whole bunch of online ones. None of them work. Don't want to download anything more)

Maybe if you transcoded mp4 to avi and then use Nero to author the dvd ?

Or try using Adobe Premiere Pro since it is vastly superior to NeroVision

    transcode? o.0

I can't convert it to .avi. I'm trying like every conversion software/online site there is and nothing works. And isn't Adobe Premier Pro a video editting software? I need a DVD making software. My videos don't need to be editted.:S

Think iDvD for the mac...only I don't have a mac....

Adobe has a Dvd authoring function and takes just about every video format. If anything, you should try this before any other software.

Hmm... haven't used Nero in a decade or so.
Discovered ConvertXtoDVD (4) and never used anything else.
No need for a separate program like DVDShrink, no need to convert anything really.
Just select your file(s) to place on the disk, then setting up menus is easy as pie (though personally I just rename the disk, files, etc. for a simple press # to go to movie/episode), and burn in 3 easy steps essentially.
Yup, so easy even a caveman, gecko, etc. can do it.

Thanks. I'll try that next time.

In the end I went to school, stole my friends mac and burned it using iDvD during first period.....
