Oh don't worry, there are a billion websites specifically dedicated to Lady Gaga's Illuminati relation. This is my favorite. I love conspiracy theorists.

Yeah conspiracy theories are really interesting aren't they, here's one if anyone has some free time. It's fairly entertaining

I still don't believe anything on that website that I posted, but it's a very interesting read nonetheless. Makes you think about things a little more instead of just listening to the music and watching the videos and not seeing the vast mountain of symbolism in front of you. And every single popular artist using the same symbols over and over, why?
Whether or not there is some underlying point or plan to that remains to be seen.

I find it deeply rewarding that people think I'm a part of a group that is plotting to take over the world.

But even it that's the Illuminati's plan, you don't think they would reveal that to any rank and file member, do you? Heheh. :B

Sorry, I guess I was confused considering the topic is about the Illuminati? What were you talking about :p

edit: actually I was thinking the Free masons and not the Illuminati. Sorry, my brain is still fuzzy because of this darn research paper

The Illuminati (plural of Latin illuminatus, "enlightened") is a name given to several groups, both historical and modern, and both real and fictitious. Historically, the name refers specifically to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776.

In modern times it is also used to refer to a purported conspiratorial organization which acts as a shadowy "power behind the throne", allegedly controlling world affairs through present day governments and corporations, usually as a modern incarnation or continuation of the Bavarian Illuminati. In this context, the Illuminati are believed to be the masterminds behind events that will lead to the establishment of a New World Order.

    i give a shit of them -.-

Illuminati reminds me of Dan Brown, which reminds me of Angels and Demons, which for some strange reason reminds me of Tomb Raider and Lara Croft...

Which reminds me of her two 'guns'

I do believe in the sort of elitism and class control that is said to be run by the Illuminati, but the way its portrayed makes it a bit hard to digest. Its not a secret society, its right in front of you. CEOs and politicians and television network executives have all made us feed into this bastardized, self-centric, consumer culture so they can collect more of the paper they claim is worth anything.

Why does your daughter want a Barbie doll? Because some TV advertisement told her she did. People need to open their minds and see whats actually going on. The truth is that most refuse to, because the truth about how the world is run is far too scary for them.

Tis just another way for the illuminati to perpetuate the mystery surrounding their "secret" society

Having never been a little girl, I can't really say for sure. But I do know I used to want need everything that was advertised to me... I flushed a lot of my money right down the toilet. More recently I've stopped letting myself be advertised to as much as possible, and amazingly (or not so amazingly) I'm much happier with where I am, and with who I am. Love and gratitude.

The illuminati were probably real to begin with, but like most organizations, they evolved and intergrated with society.

well of course they were real to begin with

The illuminati began as an intellectual movement in Bavaria as an offshoot of the enlightment by a guy named Weishaupt and the organization grew to include branches in many european countries, but whether or not they evolved and integrated with modern society is a different matter.

This early Illuminati would eventually "collapse" due to various internal issues in 1785, but in modern times there are people who argue that it had survived its supposed collapse. The "conspiracy" theories grew from these postulations.

i did research on its historical background yes, but the research leads me to believe that modern illuminati organizations were created pretty recently and are only the illuminati in name, the original illuminati are probably gone now, there isnt really any proof of their continued existence.

my assumptions about whether or not they have am impact upon world politics are just that assumptions based upon what i have read.

I don't know why you felt it was necessary to point that out.
I wasn't remarking on the reliability of the wiki system.

because i detected sarcasm as if you believed my information to be inaccurate since it came from wikipedia.

Besides it was as necessary for me to point it out as it was for you to say "everyone loves a touch of wikipedia"
