Begged my mum like crazy to get it for me as well.

Shit, I could never get that game SET UP to play correctly.

I was always more of a board-game/video game type of person. I wasn't really too much of a 'toy' person, per say. I did love playing with marbles, though. More fun than the plastic marble sets was the old dot-matrix printer paper that we had left over (after we got a newer printer). I used to tape long streams of paper up around the room and put marbles on them to make enormous marble tracks. It was so ghetto now that I look back on it, and the hippie in me cringes at the wasted paper, but I thought it was the best, because it was ALL what I wanted to do, rather than having to use some stupid little plastic set.

I did have a furby that I loved for a few months before it went crazy. It started blinking and whirring all the time. It was creepy at night when I was trying to sleep, so I left it in my closet until the battery died.

Damn. Furby.

It's scary shit to me, even now. I could never play with that toy. Maybe because I watched Child's Play and was scared of all doll-like toys. Especially the sort that actually moves....

Yeah, I was expecting a few Lego. I did play with Lego when I was little, but didn't enjoy it as much as Role-Playing with Power Rangers and other action figures. And, Legos were really expensive, and I didn't come from a very well to do family. The only Lego set I bought was a Ninja set, that my Aunt bought for me for my birthday present. I think Lego belonged to a generation before me, because when I was born, my brother had quite a number of Lego toys already.

Street Sharks! Those were the 90s cartoon, along with Biker Mice from Mars, Inspector Gadget, Beast Wars, etc. :D

Love this thread, lots of toys from my childhood popping up. I was obsessed with barbies as a child, I was very much (and still am) a girly girl. Never used to play with them, just dress them in lots of different outfits and then get bored.

I remember having a furby, which terrified me so it lived in my wardrobe - only to be disturbed when I wanted to get socks! Before the furby there was those little tamigothchi things people had - was fairly obsessed with those too!

Don't have any of my childhood toys now, only a cuddly toy sheep that I've had since I was 5. He still sits on my bed, 17 years later. The other half is thrilled about that ;)
