interesting theory... I usually can recall the whole sequence though... and a lot of times I can actually know what people are about to say/what is about to happen once I enter into that state of deja vu... Which is rather peculiar... Hmmm.....

I understand what you're saying. I've experienced it myself. Science has an answer for it, they say it's a shortcut in our brain, which makes us live the experience twice. To be honest, I normally put a lot of faith in science, but I think their reasoning is just untrue in this case.

Anyway... as creepy as it sounds... you're not alone with this 'gift'.

I had some similar experiences too, I recalled my aunt and uncle were married in a church with white walls and the usual benches. But my cousin confirmed with me that my aunt and uncle didn't have a church wedding, they only registered at the Registry of Marriages. o.O

I blank out when I'm tired. Usually people have recollection of things that happened right as they were about to sleep but if I'm tired and I talk to someone on the phone or watch TV and someone asks me about something the next morning I most likely won't remember even having watched TV or talked on the phone.

My friend calls me when he gets home every night at around 2AM and I bitch at him because he never calls me when he gets home.
And then I check my received calls and BOOM, not only did he call but I answered and had a 15 minute convo.
Its fucking scary. Goodness knows what I even talk about....Posted Image

Yes, that sure happens to me a lot. One time, I went to a restaurant for breakfast with my family. I chose chicken enchiladas and everything. Some timer after, the waitress brings me cheese enchiladas and I said: "Excuse me, I said chicken enchiladas", but suddenly, my mom and my sisters started saying that I actually asked for cheese and stuff. I then made a short debate about that, because I was so damn certain that I said "chicken". Oh well ._.
Similar experiences followed and are still happening. My mind needs to be tuned urgently =/

(In a bit of irony, I actually think I made a topic about this several years ago but don't really know if I did or not... Anyways, I'll just make this one now. :p)

So this isn't happening nearly as often as it used to... but does anyone else ever think of something and not know if they actually experienced it or if they just imagined experiencing it? I'm not sure if it's just my fucked up mind, if I have too vivid of an imagination, or I've damaged my memory during periods of my life that it's all too blurry to make distinctions.... but many times I will think upon something and recall it to my memory but it is fuzzy. I'm always so unsure if I lived it, saw it, or thought it up entirely...

Hope I don't need to explain any further (but will if necessary.)

Anyways, anyone else have trouble distinguishing reality and fantasy in their memory?

I have had "visions" of something that i dont know if i did or not and i experience it thinking i already knew it was going to happen is that what u mean?

i have that with dreams. from time to time, my dreams are so real, i don't know for sure if it was a dream or reality. like, if i remember something, that is super weird and i'm sure it was a dream. but i have it in my memories so clearly, that it feels like i really experienced it. sometimes i like that, but most of the time it confuses the shit out of me.

This happens to everyone. Unless you have some crazy condition that inhibits you from forgetting. Especially with very stressful and shocking situations, most people focus on what they were feeling at the time that it happened, rather than what actually happened, since everything is so overwhelming. Some experts even argue that using a prime witness in a case can be too biased since what they think actually happened can be very inaccurate, since it's based from what they feeling.

I forgot what book I read this in, so don't quote me on it. Especially since I'm basing it from memory. Posted Image
I'll look through my book stash though.

That used to happen to me a lot when I was younger. I mostly blame it on dreams I had as a child because I was able to remember all of my dreams. They basically just became memories of mine; heck even to this day I'm able to remember a lot of the dreams I had 10 years ago. Everyones mind is different though and each with unique experiences. You could be having real memories that you've forgotten or even just fragmented memories that your subconscious formed haphazardly from bits of lost memories but meaning only a few bits being true.

Haha I also had short periods of deja vu every now and then. Woke up at 6pm+ and thought its 6am+, rushed out to brush my teeth, get ready for school, then realised its dinnertime :p
