Considering my other hobbies, I don't think any of my friends would give a shit, really. I'm a huge geeky loser and I revel in it. And I really couldn't care less what other people think of how I spend my time. Who cares if it's fun?

Besides, I'm in uni. Everyone does stupid shit to waste time. And what's so different about playing Neopets in lectures as opposed to Angry Birds or Bejewelled or FarmVille or whatever? My girlfriend makes fun of me, but I make fun of her for playing MapleStory too.

I am 20, and I only get made fun of from my cousins and people i tell about it until i tell them i cheat, and i make money from it and then they lay there heads in shame...

I think there's nothing worth to be made fun of as it's just a web browser games like the immensely popular farmville.

It 's almost equivalent to making fun of ppl just because they play facebook imo

I think the common misconception is that Neopets is supposedly for little kids. Even if someone doesnt know what it is, they infer from it being a random word then 'pets' that its for kiddies.

Basically, many people are judgmental bastards.

I get made fun of at work I guess but I'm not really worried about it. I mean, playing Neopets as an adult is pretty silly, but it's a lot better than any of those Facebook games everyone plays to kill time. And much cuter.

Plus, I'm level 200 in MapleStory so I've earned a lot of respect from them as the queen of mindless grinding.
