Hey there,

So someone had asked me to lend an item to him/her. I hadn't been on neopets for a looong time so I know nothing about it

I would like ask:
1)Is *lending item* allowed by TNT?
2)How does "lending" work? Wont it be super dangerous?

Lending is allowed (both pet and item):
You need to be sure that you are lending to a trusted person (since you can easily get scammed)

Item:
You sent the item over, they get avatar, and send the item back. It's fairly simple. You can also get into their account, where they give you information, you send the item, get in their account, get the item for them, and send it back to yourself. People have been scammed by the latter as well though, so if you do this method I would suggest changing the password as soon as you get in before sending the item then changing it back when you are done.

Pet:
Pet is transferred to their account. Avatar is achieved. You would have to wait until the next day (12 AM NST) before they could transfer back. They would transfer back, and done.

Again, just be careful lending. x.x

If you lend on Neo it would be on a free basis.

It honestly wouldn't be to safe asking for a fee on there, since I know a lot of "good samaritans" would probably end up reporting you.

I'm sure a small NP fee won't hurt anybody. That all will accumulate until you decide to sell it. (;

Lending on here is safe, if you do still have some form of precaution. Obviously here nobody will report you. I'm talking about specifically charging people on Neopets boards, like the AC. That's where you'd get reported. You'd be forced to lend it out for free, which could increase your chance of scamming. To be honest, if I had a lendable item I wouldn't mind lending it out on Codex.

The other good thing about lending on here is that you'd enhance your trading score.

Well, inFEED, if it's an avy-giving item, many would really appreciate it if you opened a lending thread here
A small fee charge would also be acceptable... you'll just have to be certain that the user you're lending your item to is trustworthy.
You know, maybe specifying some requirements for the lending are in order (100+ posts, 10 (100%)+ Trader score, Advanced only, etc).
