Recently, I got into using some programs for Neopets such as sLAUGHTER's score sender and the NP generator. But using them seems to have limitations of not being an Advanced Member. As such, what does it take to become one?

Your stocks triple, you start to look hotter, and people you don't like fall off of things more often.
Advanced works wonders

Oh shit, I love it when people fall off things... even people I DO like!

The staff are still working on the details, but that's what was implied.

"Working" is too strong of a word here. Let's try 'sitting on the details'.

It'll be getting discussed at the next admin meeting over the next few days.

That will be a guarantee because Waser will get out the ice cream!

Is that some sort of euphemism?

all i can say to this is...horrible...in so many ways...
i understand the 500 post req. it keeps people from ruining the use of programs by people who got lucky and googled abrosia. i also understand the fact that this get people posting nonsense on the forums trying to push past 500 posts. my initial view of 500 posts was a frightening one. ive been in my guild on neopets for a couple years now and im nowhere near 500 posts. its just not my thing. im antisocial. thats part of why i play neopets. so this leaves me with the fact that it seems almost worthless to me to use abrosia or this site seeing as it forces me to spam, or to interact with people when in all reality i have no interest in spending the next 3 years trying to reach 500 post. which leads to the next point...
so theres the option of money solving my problems...buying membership. i understand the benefit to the site from membership fees. it pays for server costs, helps to fund the staff possibly...and so on and so on. problem i have with that...im homeless, i dont have money to spend on a membership to a website. you may ask "how do you have a computer then?" to that i say the common retort...homeless, not helpless. or...home free, not homeless. it was a stroke of luck that i had the money to buy a computer in the first place. last time i bought something worth $300 was 3 years ago. this is the first computor ive ever owned. and who knows if ill get it stolen. add to that i have a wife and a dog to care which makes my access to money difficult at times. so i hope you can see how spending membership fees isnt much of an option for me personally.
this now leaves me with an entirely more insidious problem...approval. as i said, im antisocial. communicating through the internet does not remove my lack of interest in interacting with people...to the contrary. from what ive already read on this thread i am apprehensive to the notion of getting approval for membership status. the social hierarchies to deal with, personality conflicts, and more, all paint a dark picture for me. i dont want to play suck up to anyone for access to a program to cheat on a game, and i doubt anyone wants me sucking up to them anyway. i dont have any skills to offer, unless you would be willing to trade access for information on how to be a nomadic youth in the united states...which in all reality i could never teach because its something you have to learn by experience. not to mention the fact generally dont have the time to sit on forums. im too busy trying to keep my life in order, keep fed, warm, so on and so on...my current situation for example, i have to go turn myself in to the police for a petty warrant so as to avoid being hassled where we are because i needed gas money 2 years ago so i could go buy my dog a toy and got a ticket i couldnt pay.
so all in all, it leaves me screwed apparently. i wish i wasent so tired so i could say something about this without feeling like im ranting, or off topic, or whatever

You have said yourself that you have nothing to contribute to the site.yes sweeney, right on the nose *insert sarcasm here*
exactly my point about not wanting to deal with people.
antisocial, yes. i dont enjoy dealing with people when 9/10 you get condescension for being honest by some random guy on...what is it? a power trip? mad because of this info being leaked to the public? painful childhood?
unskilled? no, but my life skills are not the kind transfered through the internet. thank you for regarding my saying i have differant set of life skills as meaning im unskilled, thats exactly the type of response i would expect from someone who is supposed to be looked at as a role model for how i can best apply myself to this site.
unhelpful? lol, how exactly are you being helpful by being rude to someone that just joined this site? wouldnt it be more in the interest of the site to be polite to people? especially when they are expressing themselves in an open and potentially self demeaning fashion, depending on someones views?
