Hello Everyone,

I am wondering if an API/SDK has been released for Neocodex. I looked around on the website but did not come across anything beyond murmurs of a future release. I am interested in starting to develop automated programs for Neopets, but would prefer it if I could re-use commonly implemented tasks (logging in, getting item information on a page, etc...). If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Not at the moment, we're currently exploring whether it would be worth it for us to provide that kind of tool for developers.

I see. Well, I'll just get started and see if anything comes up. Since there isn't a Python API, I'll probably be programming in .NET (more comfortable with it) and see where I can get with that. Has anyone tried C# and run into major issues?

C# will be fine for Neopets programs.

Yes I've been noticing -- so far have a basic user interface that will log-in to Neopets and return the HTML on any particular page. Now I get to do the tedious part of parsing everything >.<

One more question -- Am I able to gain advanced membership for doing things like releasing a fairly useful program? Or is it solely based on forum participation?

People probably wouldn't vote you in on the basis of one program so it's either forum participation or purchasing a subscription.
