Well TNT don't know that the only people who answer are cheaters, how could they? It's always nice to enter for a trophy.
Obviously TNT can't prove anything if you win...but hasn't the general population of the site figured out that nobody actually figures it out on their own?

it's like using a CAS for the math lennies, etc. - you aren't perfectly doing it yourself, but who cares?

Those that cheat yes, have probably figure it out. Those that don't are probably naive and think all neo users are geniuses

using a database and some algorithm isn't cheating, it's obviously a legit way to find the solution imo.

Using a database to find out the answer isn't against the rules, but sharing it with others is. Not that I care, I just wonder why people haven't caught on. I usually find users on the boards to be more cynical than naive.

Using outside programs is against the TOS for neopets.

Who uses a program?

Who uses a program?
The person who states using an algorithm and a database isn't cheating?

I wouldn't say that's cheating, it's just using particular skills to solve a puzzle.

Agree.
Saw a huge jump in the # of correct guessers in the mystery pic this week XD.
Have to admit, it feels good to win this impossible thing.

They don't care how many times you win, this is a fact.

I first noticed when we didn't get the answer for a couple weeks in a row - only one or two people as opposed to the hundred/two hundred correct answers that are usually submitted. Technically, we aren't doing anything wrong by taking the answer from someone, it's only the person who shares it that is breaking the rules. Furthermore, if the person who ran the program never actually enters the competition, no rules have in fact been broken at all, since the person who ran the program never used it for their own gain.
Hope y'all enjoyed my logic.
Well It's illegal to share the answer... but it should also be illegal to go looking for it off the site
But it really doesn't matter, like Scot said

not quite true, only programs that make any sort of modification to the virtual world (e.g. some program directly operating on the site like an ABer, autoplayer, ...) are against the TOS.
in this case you just grab the pic normally and analyze it offline -> no modifications done, actually no interaction with the website occurs at all

Well if thats the case, I could use a shapeshifter solver, and then input the answer in myself and it'll be fine right?
That game was built for programmers
