Do you automatically lose all interest in other women because you are already in a relationship?
Does being in a relationship make it so that you no longer feel anything when you pass by a hot woman on the street? You don't even turn your head to look, and what goes on in your head is oh its just another w/e woman.
Nothing turns you on except for whoever you are in a relationship with?

if yes, then you are a freak.

There are very few animals that are actually genetically hardwired to be interested in and have one mate in their life time. and humans are not one of them.

a lot of cheating occurs when people do not have enough self control when it comes to the impulses listed above.

Yes, you can still feel for other people when you are with someone.

However, we're a little smarter than animals in that we can consciously put those feelings aside because it's beneficial for us to be in a monogamous relationship, due to the stability and the fact that we care about the other person. Failing to do so is how cheating, and 'gf/bf stealing' and such happens.

    LMAO

Not necessarily a freak, but I do see such feelings as a dependency issue. When you invest so much into one person, there will be problems. My sister is an overweight, desperate, flakey, egotistical, pathological liar with low self confidence. Because of her devalued sense of self, she always throws everything into her relationships with men. She always feels like HE IS THE ONE. The magic of their relationship was written in the stars!! The pages of destiny are filled with the tales of their romance!! Being in a relationship makes her feel worth something. She seriously looses all ability to see other people around her (and even what is right in front of her) and it is dangerous because no matter how great her boyfriend is, there are going to be things imperfect about him, huge flaws that she just refuses to see because she is so blindly infatuated. I fear a lot of people lose themselves in relationships like this, and it is very unhealthy.

I wouldn't be surprised if her boyfriend is cheating on her.

I don't understand cheating, either! I don't get why you have to do it...

Unfortunately, I've only had two boyfriends that HASN'T cheated on me, one of them is still in love with me, and he tells me so every day, even though we broke up almost a year and a half ago. And one is my current boyfriend, who I've been with now for almost a year. I know he looks at other women, like in the street and stuff, but I know he'd never cheat on me. Well I hope he wouldn't anyway, but I trust him 100% :)

Personally, I could never bring myself to cheat on someone (not that i'd want to). If I didn't want to be with someone, what's the point in being with them?

Man, she's caught in a Bad Romance.

So she's egotistical but with low self-esteem? D: I seriously hate those people. 'Cause get them drunk and they just bawl about how much they hate their life. ALthough it's interesting in a movie.

I know a lot of people who NEED to be in a relationship, which I find pathetic. Especially Asian people; they seem to be big believers in this. Not only do they need to be in one, they give up everything once they are in one.

As for back to cheating, my ex told me that a friend of theirs would be coming over and that once he did, they'd probably sleep together. Gave me like 4 months pre-warning so I "Couldn't be mad". Luckily we broke up before that happened, and the guy never even came because as some of you know, my ex was bat shit's crazy. Wanted to add me as a sibling like 3 days ago on facebook after not talking for months. wtf.

the fact that relationships are a losing deal to men lowers the quality of men willing to commit, so girls are left with the choice of the player who will satisfy them but leaves as soon as something hotter comes along, or the beta male who will be devoted for ever and ever but will never really satisfy her sexual desires, which is why she will cheat on him with the player.

Why is a relationship a losing deal for a male? because all men only care about is having sex with multiple people?

Guys cheat because they got bored with their cuddlebuddy. We're sexual beings but, I do agree, there's no excuse for cheating on your partner. Why get into a relationship if you are not going to commit?

It's obvious how and why cheating happens. It doesn't matter whether you're in a half-arsed 6 month relationship or a totally dedicated 30 year relationship, there's always the chance you'll meet someone who takes you back to that "new relationship" feeling which can be enough to get people too lost in the moment to care about the consequences. By no means am I saying it's acceptable though.

I can relate to why someone would take someone back through it all in hope that they will change and sometimes they do I haven't lost all hope yet..I love my bf and have been with him for years but i dnt think i would risk losing someone who cares about me for one day/night of worthless stupidity..by the way (*Still dont know about reposting but some one was talking bout alpha and beta men) I dnt think its true that all alpha men are players) I mean there agresive and go for wat they want but I believe even thought they are flirty and all that theres still a fine line to wats appropriate and I think some alpha men are able to control themselves and not b a pig * no offense to the men reading this who make a living trying to b with as much women as possible All in all I agree Its worthless and it almost always does always come back around

You could say they would do anything for love.

    Well then it's not fun.

Though, with silly personal third party experience with cheating girls, it's something that I'm not all too fond with....

Basically, I was stuck in the middle of a huge argument between three of my friends who all slept with the same girl, one of them in the original relationship, it's time consuming, frustrating, and not something I'd like to experience again.

While I did phrase that in a joking manner, I do believe that in relationships. I see a clear difference between love and lust, and I'd certainly not feel ill of either party if they'd want to fool around a bit on the side.

I don't get what causes people to cheat. I mean, i do see the reasons, but I see them as excuses and nothing more. Investing time, emotions, and putting absolute TRUST in someone, then turning around and finding they don't respect you at all by going behind your back and breaking the commitment you BOTH made together? The worst feeling in the world. What's so hard about having discussions on how to make things more interesting again? About "finding the love" again? Seriously.

It's a bad thing to do.

The biggest reason you guys are missing,

PEOPLE ARE BEING RAISED IN A WORLD WHERE CHEATING IS A EVERYDAY THING.
Its not bad to them really, a slap on wrist.

    the media ruining everybody..

    cheating existed before mass media.

    I think people cheat because:
    1) they love the thrill of not getting caught/sneaking around
    2) they're too scared to break up with their partner
    3) They're idiots.
