Not sure if this is in the right section but, I was thinking... if we could compile a database of every image in Neopets, would it be possible to make a program that scans each file and finds best matches to the mystery picture?

If not, I would like to propose the creation of a manual Mystery Picture-finding team. Each member of the team could search a different area of Neopets (ie, Neopedia, games, etc.) as to split up the ridiculous search into multiple, smaller, more manageable searches. That is, if people still WANT to do the Mystery Picture competition...

Just a few ideas. I've always wanted to win a Mystery Picture Competition but I've always found it well, ridiculously impossible :l.

We have a mystery pic/LC answer section already... Isn't that enough? Many of the answers are only available to advanced members to prevent leaked answers, so if you want to answers now, you can always get a paid subscription for advanced.

Yes I was going to say what Skrillex said. Advanced usually gets first dibs and then he will post the answers for the rest of the community a day or two later.

ever since waser removed it from public, there are less then 100 mystery picture winners each week compared to 500-800 previously. i think that public forum is limited to people who registered before these changes

Laser Wave is the supreme overlord of Mystery Picture... nuff said. His influence reaches not only here, but everywhere else due to people leaking his answers all the time.

If you're going to do it manually (like my gf and I do sometimes), then you're better off going to Drsloth.com or whatever that neopets image database is, rather than going around Neopets itself.
