The water draik was released in the news today. What do people think? I like it, apart from the funny thing on it's head - can't quite figure out what it is.

It's pretty, but like the Kyrii, it doesn't really look like water so much as a nice blue shade.

Agreed it's so bleak, and green jelly, another typical color ...
Transparent would have been cool, water is pure shit

This, I wouldn't say it's water without knowing. And plus it looks an awful lot like Maractite without those swirls.

The only thing I like are the eyes. The color is very pretty and much better than the default red eyes.

And the Jelly... who the hell would want Jelly Draik?!

They should model the water pets differently, Like have them fading out and dripping and shit. As is it's a really boring colour like someone further up said it's not very apparent that it's meant to be water.

but srsly water draik is not that nice-looking (as compared to water kyrii)
water draiks are just too similar to maractite draiks

I was just about to say the same thing! I do like the water draik better though - it is a lighter blue which I like.

They did have the potential to do something really good with it, but I imagine they've played it safe to make the most use out of customisation. I'm more excited about the clothes they released today than the actual colours, wish they had released a biscuit one instead of jelly.

Way too similar. It's like they've just lightened maracite a shade or two. Guess that's easier than them just putting some effort into making a nice water brush.

I thought the same thing about the kyrii. Kinda nice color but doesnt look like water. Needs a dripping effect or something.

Yeah, it looks like they recycled the maractite artwork. They've been doing that a lot as of late. They don't seem quite as creative as they were a few years back. I would bet that has something to do with the fact it is owned by an enormous company like Viacom. Nothing like receiving a bottom-of-the-bin minimum wage paycheck after enduring two weeks of that torturous workday monotony.

Neopets was better when the team was still emotionally vested to the company.

I, like most neopians, love draiks... But water is preddy shit in my opinion.

If I had a choice between water kyrii or draik, I'd pick the Kyrii - at least it has a cool wave-like mane.
