Which type of vampire do you find to be more terrifying as depicted in their respective stories?

The Count Orlok more commonly known as the nosferatu type vampire as depicted in

Or the more popular dracula type vampire as in Bram Stoker's dracula

These two vampires essentially have the same background story, which makes sense seeing as how the nosferatu was written to bypass copyright laws. However the way the two were depicted are completely different. Where Dracula is refined, Count Orlok is ugly and more bestial. Count Dracula is seductive, but Orlok is a bringer of rats and plague.

Count Dracula chooses his victims and you do not know he is a vampire until it is too late. Count Orlok on the other hand is unmistakably inhuman. As such they operate differently as seen when they first arrived in London. Dracula goes around seducing his victims and feeds on them, but Orlok infests the city with rats, causing a terrible plague.

Essentially the choice is between the Dracula vampire which is the more subtle type, blending in with everyday people. You don't know who he is until it is too late. Or the Orlok type who brings about death to everyone around indiscriminately.

Vampires are by their very definition; dead.

I vote for Nosferatu since he rather aptly looked, you guessed it, dead.

Nosferatu, because I always found Bram Stoker's dracula more homoerotic than scary.

I think both would be terrifying in completely different scenarios.

The dracula stereotype, because he's such a charming character and you'd never suspect him, would be fine up until you found out he was a vampire by which point it's obviously too late and you'd realise the amount of planning he'd taken to get you. So to speak.

The other type is terrifying in a completely different way. How do you react to people/things who clearly aren't concerned by who they kill and don't fear the consequences.

Spooky stuff.

They both beat the new fags around now. But im going with Bram Stoker's dracula, he has sex appeal.
