Some of those songs...are soo terrible I don't know how they got on there. Gold Digger, I Gotta Feeling and Single Ladie. Surprised they missed A Milli and Crank That to go with most of the garbage on there.

The THONG SONG gets on, but no Weird Al? Not even White and Nerdy?

    Sigh.

Oh man, this...when I saw Lance's face I absolutely lost it and the drink that I was sipping is now on the keyboard. Totally worth it.

Anywho, relating to the post...there were some in there that I did like when they came out, but since I'm not a big fan of rap or anything similar I found that I either didn't know most songs or I was pretty surprised it had made it within the top 1,000 songs.

    *whispers* Frusciante...

The list isn't too bad, tbh. There's been a lot of worthless shit on the radio in the past 10 years. I'd say they have a pretty good representation there.

Whenever you see a top music list, people are usually accepting of some on the list due to the subjectivity of favoritism and objective quality.

But this list is just fucking shit on all levels.

    :D

Good lord. I love the Foo Fighters and I am not ashamed, but do they REALLY need to put "Best of You" which is possibly one of their worst and most made fun of songs ever on that list? For shame :( I think I'm out of the loop for the most part being a 90s child... I don't know quite a few of these, but then again it's Missy Elliot and John Mayer. Not a big fan of either. And who the hell are Andrew W.K., Colbie Caillat, Gavin Degraw, Mystikal, and D'Angelo??

I think it's really difficult to actually categorize the 100 greatest songs out of any decade unless you separate them into genres because it's all up to the author's preference and I have to say... his taste in music is er... interesting.

That's a pretty bad collection of songs for my taste, I have no interest at all in any of the top 10 and the best song listed is at #33...

that list was likely made based off songs that were rated highest on the charts and stuff...it seems accurate regarding how popular some of those songs were when they came out....they were all like #1 songs
