For instance, if the person is talking out of their ass, but they're still treating my opinion with some validity, then I'll likely just take the passive route and go "hmm, you could be right", and you know, wishy-wash compromise a bit to avoid confrontation. I'll still stick to my own opinion on the matter if theirs makes no sense to me, but I won't be confrontational.
If the person is talking about of their ass, and just outright rejects what I say (which usually is backed up with something), I go into some "logical kill" mode and start poking holes in everything they throw at me if I know a decent amount about the subject. They probably think I'm unpleasant to be around when I'm like this, but they usually ask for it.

I've met a couple people like this. It depends on how they treat me during the ordeal, mostly.

Hahaha. I go into that kill mode too. It's worse when it's a subject I'm passionate about. Like a hungry pitbull.
Yeah this guy is one of those "I'm right and that's the end of it" types, even if what I'm saying to him is common sense or basic knowledge. It's just a never-ending circle of "what the fuck".

Haha. I still have to attend class with this bloke. Don't want to make it any more awkward than it already is.

This is different from the work place. This is college. Where minds are impressionable. He shouldn't be spreading ignorance.

- Do you know anyone like this? How do you deal with them?
I have a coworker who is almost exactly like this. I thought I was alone! I usually take Boggart's tact and diffuse the less-ridiculous bull-shit in a non-confrontational way. Every so often we touch on a subject that cannot be handled in this way. Eugenics for example. My 'look at me, I'm amazing'-person argues that anyone without a perfect family medical history should be forcibly sterilized. Yeah. I don't argue with these sorts of things. I just stay quiet and stare him in the eyes until he changes the subject. *shrugs*
- Are you overly opinionated / like to be right about things?
I would say I'm not opinionated enough. Being outspoken and opinionated on some subject usually leads the way for confrontation senseless anger. I try and avoid those things.
I do like to be right about things though. Well, except for those times when my being right would mean I'm having sex with my mother or something. In those situations, I prefer to be wrong.
- Do you call people out on their dumb bullshit?
As I mentioned above - not really. It is really dependent on the person though. There are a few people with whom I have no problems being outspoken towards. They're usually semi-intelligent.
- Know any stoners that really fit the mold?
Only when it comes to debating Marijuana. Otherwise, no.

I will argue harshly with them if it's for something I strongly believe in.
I'm not talking about religion (I'm an Atheist), but instead I'm talking about human rights, abortion, controversial opinions etc.
Nonetheless, I will respect the other person's arguments (as long as they are valid and backed up with support) if they are respectful of mine.
If our argument amounts to mere shouting and screaming, then I'll just let the topic die - I'm not the "fight to the death" type.
