I actually joined like a month ago, but I haven't had time to come on much.

So, is there a way to become a gold member without paying?
I've been using Abrosia, but it's kind of a pain if I'm not gold. It always picks really unprofitable shops for me. D:
Also, I want to become an active poster, but tbh I don't know where to post. All the conversations are about stuff I don't know much about. Like neopets cheating or w/e.

Aside from paying, I believe if you get 500 posts & an Advanced Members recommends/votes/something cX.. you then you can become Advanced as well

You can buy one in the trading post section here, or if you aren't too embarrassed you could ask your friends if they ever played neopets and get their accounts

You could just create a new account and/or if you want an aged one buy them at the Trading Post section ^__^

Shells are mostly bought with neopoints. Real money is seldom used for accounts unless it is a nice main.

Banana you can purchase shells here on Neocodex in the Trading Post (since most people like to have full access when restocking) or you can make your own and work your way up on a newbie account. If you plan on still using your main and using the programs on a shell you should probably look up some information on using proxies.

You can buy with either, but as Neoquest said, it's mainly bought with NPs unless it's a really nice account

Hum, well I have a bunch of NPs spread across my shells, so I usually pay from them
If you don't have a shell and/or your not trading with a bunch of NPs you could probably just offer it directly and/or buy ETS to send

It should be fairly safe to pay directly from it considering that account trading dosen't attract as much attention as trading lots or high value NP/items.

It depends on the value of the item. I would suggest selling the items on your shell and then sending the np you make to your main in increments of a few hundred k to a million every now and again.
