I used to be a member here a couple of years ago. I can't recall why I left, but I'm happy to be back. These forums certainly bring back a lot of memories.

Here's a halfhearted attempt at spicing up an altogether dry and sparse introduction: I'm a freshman in college, double majoring in violin performance and chemistry, I enjoy reading, debating and sleeping.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Yay, I was a viola major the first time through college! It's nice to find a fellow string player (too bad you use treble clef, ugh).

Welcome back and have fun

Nice to meet you. It's always nice to meet another string player--I go to a pretty small college and the vast majority of music majors here are comprised of vocalists and guitarists.

Thank you. The viola is a gorgeous instrument--but I would be lost without my violin's high notes. I'd love to pick up the viola some day, though.

Thank you. I've never known anybody to be so enthusiastic about chemistry.

Thank you. Three string players in a single thread! This has to be a personal record. I used to go by the username "Vitalis". Quite a bit has changed since then.

I am surprised, I had no idea we had so many string players here.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I own, play and teach both violin and viola, but I of course prefer viola

and you also owe me a violin/viola performance!

Welcome violin person! You seem interesting enough, even if you hold an interest in chemistry.

Welcome back I've always wanted to play the violin....never got around to it

[James]

Welcome back! I wanted to play the violin when I was like 10. My mom bought me one but it didn't have that thing that goes under the strings that looks like cheese. I thought I was terrible and quit messing with it... I wonder where that violin is now? O.o

[Kalla]

I have nothing to contribute to the violin conversation but hi

[fallendevilz]

I played Violin for like 6 months, but that was because it got me out of Maths class.. and this was all like 8 years ago, Never picked one up since.
Welcome anyway
