So I recently got a fucking sweet deal on a i7 2700k processor.

So im into taking suggestions on what else I should run. I already have a few ideas on what cases and other things I want.

A modular power supply is well worth the investment.

That video card won't work with the mobo you are thinking about. You need faster PCI-E slots.

I can think of three reasons:
  • Budget board, get what you pay for
  • It is ugly

Yeah. Because more money ALWAYS = Better parts *cough* apple *cough*

And ugly? It sits inside of your case. Like its ever going to be seem.

Are ripjaws worth it or does it really matter now days? Also chassis update...that god damn cable management.

They never really where worth it :p With an I7, DDR3 is required. And you want like 1600 speed, but other then that, nothing else really matters. You'll bottleneck on your HD, and your cpu/memory will just wait forever :p

As far as memory goes. Aim for a 7-7-7-21 timing on CAS Latency.
