Damn inflators. They take any opportunity to make a profit. This is exactly what happened with the Icy Snowflake
They went from 100k to like, 250k+, right?
Lots of avatar items are inflating.

Is this a secret cult thread or something I'm missing?
They probably did inflate.

LOL, This is like when icy snowflake was like 2m and then ran down to 100k, Now its ranging from
100k-1m.
I remember when they were 20k. ;~;
The good times. If only I had bought lots back then...
I don't get it, how come they're inflating? I know it's a stupid question and probably asked before a hundred (thousand) times, but still. I mean, wouldn't you expect items to DEFLATE?

Perhaps there is more demand and less supply for the items recently?
Or a bunch of people started pricing higher and the rest of the sellers followed suit so to not lose out on the profit...
Items don't usually only deflate unless it came out on a daily.

I remember Icy Snowflake being about 80k but never lower.

I remember when Chokato TCG was selling for 4.5-5m... so they have actually decreased in price
Avatar items will inevitably increase in price slowly, unless the market becomes flooded. It's all based on a supply and demand chain.
With that being said, it is strange that Meowclops price has remained so steady for the past 2 years (8-9m constant)... With it being a retired item, so no more hitting the market, you would think that the price of this avatar item would continue to rise instead of stagnate where it is.
I think with the meowclops is because people tend to attach, get the avatar then sell. so really meowys are just going from person to person

If I had a Meowy, I'd lend it. So I'm also thinking people would scam Meowies and sell... but I suppose it's the same process.
Anyway, I remember when FQDs were more expensive than most avatar items. I suppose it depends on its demand, then.
Also, I'm a little bit mad. ~__~ I bought a Chokato for 3.8m yesterday, and a few hours ago, I saw one go for 3.3m. What is this? *__*

Fair call on the lab zapping one, however what are the chances of getting Meowy zapped?
The chances of getting a zapped meowclops for one person is really low with respect to all the zap possibilities. I was really insinuating the point of being lent a zapped meowclops is pretty decent and obtainable for even a person with a below average avatar count (less than 150) through pet lends. Considering that the petpetlab has been open for a long time now, I think there is a decent amount of lendable zapped meowclops circulating in neopia (I even have three zapped meowclops at my disposal) such that people don't need to go out and ask for a Meowclops lend via the item. I've seen many avatar guilds (even those that have no requirements to join) have a meowclops to lend via pet transfers. Because of this, the demand was never at an alarming point where people can abuse the need for the avatar with higher prices that can possible reach 20m or more (which would be likely since we are dealing with a retired item here). I need to sleep. I apologize

Hah exactly, i was thinking the same yesterday... I was getting lent Icy Snowflake when the guy wanted 250k as collat, I thought it was still in the 110-115k
Also was shocked at the Chokatos in the AH, saw one go for 3.6m I was used to it being 2.5-2.6m
