Biologically, I agree that this is highly interesting. Two brains, two spinal cords, but only one set of organs. You wonder which set of nerve impulses controls the heart/lungs/gut. What if they grow up and they have conflicting conscious actions? O__O
Oh goodness. This is a HUGE can of worms.

I've heard and read an article about a pair of conjoined twins where they lived to ~80 years old :p~~

It'll be hard for them growing up though given that society will point them out as "different" and will either be feared and/or made fun of :x

Edit: Well, hopefully some people won't mistreat them, but I can say that honestly, I'd probably have some trouble not being creeped out/etc. by a pair of conjoined twins

That's a little positive. I doubt both heads will be able to live on a body healthily for the rest of their lives. Body just serves to keep the brain alive, and maintaining two would be quite difficult.

Well I suppose that's true seeing as the overall survival rate for conjoined twins are between 5% and 20%, although given that this baby was born healthily it should (hopefully) increase their survival rate? :/

There have been cases of conjoined twins surviving, so it shouldn't/can't be impossible at least o:

I sincerely doubt a single circulatory system could viably support two brains... =/

Agreed. My inner biologist is screaming at people to fix it.

better question is how can they put the words "two headed baby" and "healthy" in the same sentence...

So apparently abbey and brittney only have one vagina and uterus... soooooo....? =/
But if they had kids the kids really would have 2 moms, thats kinda cool.
But I agree Sweeney, the dude is more than likely some freak-a-leak.

That'd be an interesting show-and-tell story. Class, meet my dad, and my mom, and my other mom.

Or there could be a polygamy controversy. :]

But is it really polygamy if one of the twins was just there? In my hypothetical situation, one of the twins falls in love and marries a man. They have sex, she gets knocked up and has a baby... the other twin experiences all this but wasn't actually involved by choice (like she went along with it b/c her twin really wanted it...) Does that make any sense? Is that rape?
